Sena emerges largest party, BJP suffers setback; MNS likely to emerge kingmaker

With the starting of KDMC-Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation election race, the counting of votes on Monday depicts Shiv Sena as the leading party with 64 seats out of 122. This election is fought separately by Shiv Sena from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This contest will certainly get impacted on both of the alliances, whoever rules Maharastra.


The counting of votes got ongoing on Monday morning for both of the civic body polls which was held the previous day that is underway on counting and the final results would be declared within few hours of time. The deliberate data mentioned was available at two o clock.

With this other major parties like Congress and NCP are about to face humiliating defeat in  Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation election. The election status of both the parties is with 3 and two wards respectively whereas the other major party MNS of Raj Thackeray is with 13 wards. This makes a make or breaks resolution for Raj Thackeray. Raj Thackeray had won 27 seats in the last election.

A new entrant in politics has made a magnificent achievement in this election. The party All India majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, an MP of Hyderabad has won seats in 4 wards in the election race which indeed is a great achievement of the party as it is a new entrant in the local politics.

With the strategic information of KDMC results, the results are going for Shiv Sena. This will have a great impact on BharatiyaJanata Party. This strategy has risen as because the total number of voters has risen to 47% of the total voters which was 43.49 % in the last election.

The election race is fought for 117 seats from the total 122 members because three villages from the total elected their candidates unopposed and two villages boycotted the election from their village.

The Shiv Sena contestants like Devanand Gaikwad and Pramila Patil have already been declared as winners. The winning list follows by winners like Santosh Tare of NCP and Hemalata of BJP. The list continues with winners like Seema Khan of Ward no. 45 and TanzilaMaulvi of Ward no. 34. Both the candidates are of MIM. The election commission has already declared the winner lists.

With the achievement, Shiv Sena has faced huge loss as its contestant Kalyani Patil lost the civic polls by 50 votes. Kalyani Patil was the ex-Mayor of KDMC.
