Bollywood has its own share of historical epics and is now witting for another. Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has made blockbusters movies like Raam-Leela, BajiRao Mastani, and Black, is ready for his upcoming project Padmavati, starring Deepika Padukone as the female lead!

Deepika was his Leela and Mastani in previous two movies, and she is also going to play the lead character of Rani Padmini, in the forthcoming project, Padmavati, based on a historical legend of India. Deepika will be seen in this highly go-getting project ‘alongside Ranveer Singh.

When the rumors regarding the perplexity of Mr. Bhansali between Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone for this role was already hitting the B-town, but he finally ended up by finalizing Deepika for this character. After much upheaval and so many gossips, at last, it is confirmed that Mastani Deepika will play the role of the queen in the movie.

This news was spilled by Shreyas Puranik, the musician of SLB projects on his twitter account.  He has posted on twitter revealing the fact that; Miss Padukone will be seen playing the character of Queen Padmini. This confirmed fact had brought joy to Deepika fans to see their favorite actress on the silver screen again with a big project.
